These Terms and Conditions explain how the Bexar County Church Network (BCCN), operated by Avista Products in San Antonio, Texas, may be used. They are written for church administrators, pastors, nonprofit leaders, event planners and community members — plain language, no fine print games. Nothing here is legal, financial, medical or theological advice.
1.Acceptance of these terms
By visiting this website, creating an account, submitting content or purchasing a membership, you accept these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the Membership, Cancellation, and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the network.
2.Purpose of the network
BCCN is a directory, media, membership, event and community-information platform serving African American churches, nonprofit organizations, event planners, individuals and the wider Bexar County community.
BCCN does not govern participating churches. We do not determine or endorse any congregation's doctrine, leadership, worship practices, finances or internal decisions. Listing on the network is not an affiliation, ordination, accreditation or covenant.
3.Eligibility
- Individuals and independent event planners may select the Free or Event Planner membership
- Bronze, Silver and Gold memberships are reserved for verified churches and nonprofit organizations
- BCCN may request documentation — such as organization name, category, website, leadership contact or tax identification — before approving an organization-level membership
- Providing false or misleading verification information may result in rejection, removal of listings or suspension of the account
4.Accounts
You agree to give accurate information, keep your password secure, and accept responsibility for activity performed through your account.
Account sharing between unrelated organizations, impersonation of a church, pastor or nonprofit, fraudulent registration, and unauthorized use of another organization's identity are not permitted.
Tell us right away if you believe your account has been used without permission.
5.Listings and submitted content
You keep ownership of everything you submit. BCCN does not claim ownership of your videos, sermons, photographs, names, logos or livestreams.
By submitting content you grant BCCN a nonexclusive license to display, resize, format, reproduce and promote that content through the website, email, social media, publications and related BCCN services, for as long as your listing is published.
You must have permission to submit photographs, logos, flyers, music, videos, livestream links, names and other materials.
BCCN may review, edit for formatting, reject, remove or delay content that is inaccurate, unlawful, misleading, offensive, infringing, incomplete or inconsistent with the purpose of the network.
6.Church information
We make reasonable efforts to publish accurate church information, but we do not guarantee that every service time, pastor name, address, phone number, event, livestream or ministry detail remains current.
Churches should notify BCCN — or update their own profile from the member dashboard — whenever their information changes. Visitors are encouraged to confirm details with the church before traveling.
7.YouTube, livestreams and third party content
Livestreams, videos, sermons and music remain the property of the churches and content owners who created them and are delivered through their own channels.
BCCN is not responsible for interrupted streams, removed videos, advertising inserted by a platform, third-party comments, unavailable channels, copyright claims, or changes made by YouTube, Facebook or other providers.
8.Events and announcements
Publishing an event, announcement or flyer does not mean BCCN sponsors, endorses, guarantees or assumes responsibility for it.
Event organizers remain solely responsible for accuracy, safety, staffing, refunds, accessibility, registration, ticketing, permits, insurance and legal compliance for their events.
9.Memberships and payments
Paid memberships are processed through Square and may renew monthly or annually until canceled. Pricing and benefits are based on the plan selected at checkout.
BCCN may update future pricing or plan benefits with reasonable notice. Billing, cancellation and refund details are described in the Membership, Cancellation, and Refund Policy.
10.Gold membership benefits
Homepage flyer placement, scheduled weekly programming, livestream promotion and the Blackbook Directory and Yearbook full page advertisement are subject to content approval, production schedules, technical availability, advertising deadlines and publication requirements.
Weekly program time slots are assigned to one organization at a time and are subject to availability. Unused benefits do not automatically convert into cash, credit or additional advertising.
11.Referral program
Referral credit is awarded only after the referred member completes a qualifying paid membership transaction.
Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, fraudulent referrals and misleading promotion of the referral program are not permitted.
BCCN may review, adjust, deny or revoke referral credits connected to cancellations, refunds, chargebacks, fraud or abuse.
12.Prohibited conduct
You agree not to use the network for:
- Illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory or misleading content
- Copyright or trademark infringement
- Malware, spam, automated scraping, hacking or interference with website operations
- False representation of a church, pastor, nonprofit or event
- Uploading private information about another person without authorization
- Exploiting, deceiving or harming another person
13.Suspension and termination
BCCN may suspend or terminate an account that violates these policies, fails verification, misuses the platform, fails payment, or creates a legal or security risk.
When a paid membership expires, paid features may be removed from public view while your stored profile content remains available for renewal, subject to the Privacy Policy and our data-retention practices.
14.Disclaimer
The website and its information are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. BCCN does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, event attendance, membership results, livestream availability, advertising response or business outcomes.
BCCN does not provide legal, financial, medical or theological advice.
15.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, BCCN and Avista Products are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost donations, lost attendance, lost data or business interruption arising from use of the website.
Where liability cannot be excluded, the total liability of BCCN and Avista Products is limited to the amount you paid to BCCN in the twelve months before the claim arose.
16.Indemnification
You are responsible for claims, damages, losses and reasonable expenses arising from content you submit, events you organize, rights you violate, or misuse of the platform, and you agree to defend and hold harmless BCCN and Avista Products against those claims.
17.Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes will be handled in an appropriate court located in Bexar County, Texas, unless another resolution process is required by law.
18.Changes to these terms
BCCN may update these Terms and Conditions. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page is revised, and continued use of the network after that date means you accept the updated terms.
