Last updated:

This policy explains what you pay for, how billing works, how to cancel, and when a refund may be considered. It is written to be easy to follow, and it matches the plans shown on the membership page.

1.Membership plans

  • Free — $0
  • Event Planner — $29 monthly or $250 annually
  • Bronze — $49 monthly or $450 annually
  • Silver — $99 monthly or $1,000 annually

Free and Event Planner are open to individuals, churches and nonprofit organizations. Bronze, Silver and Gold are limited to verified churches and nonprofit organizations.

2.Billing

Paid memberships are billed through Square on a monthly or annual basis according to the plan selected at checkout.

Memberships renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date. Receipts are emailed by Square.

Taxes or processing requirements may be added when legally applicable.

3.Cancellation

You may cancel from your member dashboard or by contacting BCCN.

Cancellation stops future renewal charges. Membership benefits stay available until the end of the current paid billing period, unless the account is suspended for a policy violation.

Cancellation by itself does not create a refund for the current billing period.

4.Refund requests

Membership payments are generally nonrefundable once a billing period begins. BCCN will review refund requests involving:

  • Duplicate charges
  • Incorrect billing amounts
  • Charges processed after a properly documented cancellation
  • Technical errors that prevented access to paid features for a substantial portion of the billing period

Refund requests must be submitted within seven calendar days of the disputed charge. Approval is not guaranteed; each eligible request is reviewed individually.

5.Annual memberships

Annual plans are discounted commitments that cover a full year of membership.

Annual payments are generally not prorated or partially refunded after the initial seven-day review period.

6.Upgrades and downgrades

Plan changes are handled through Square checkout from your dashboard.

Upgrades may take effect immediately, and any applicable billing adjustment is shown before you confirm.

Downgrades take effect at the beginning of the next billing period unless something different is stated during checkout.

7.Event Planner payments

The Event Planner membership fee covers access to posting tools event submissions, flyer board uploads and announcement management.

It does not guarantee event approval, attendance, ticket sales or promotion beyond the benefits included in the plan. Submissions still go through administrative review.

8.Advertising and production services

Payments allocated to Blackbook Directory and Yearbook advertising, custom graphics, printing, video production, scheduled programming or other production services may become nonrefundable once design, scheduling, printing or production work has started.

Missed submission deadlines may delay placement and do not automatically create a refund.

9.Verification denial

Bronze, Silver and Gold billing is not activated before verification is complete.

If an organization pays for a plan that requires verification and cannot be verified, BCCN will either place the account in a plan it qualifies for or refund the unearned organization-level membership charge.

10.Failed payments and chargebacks

Failed or disputed payments may suspend paid features until the balance is resolved.

Please contact BCCN before filing a chargeback so a billing error can be reviewed and corrected. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension.

11.Referral credits

Referral rewards have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, transferred or refunded.

Credits may be removed if the referred membership is canceled, refunded, disputed, fraudulent or otherwise disqualified.

12.Membership expiration

When a paid membership ends, paid promotional features are removed from public display.

Existing profile content is not immediately deleted. It may remain stored so you can renew and pick up where you left off, subject to the Privacy Policy and our data-retention practices.

13.Policy changes

Future changes to this policy apply to future billing periods. They do not retroactively change a completed purchase unless a change is required by law.
